That's really more Kurt's fault

He buried the Angle Slam his entire career. Should've used it as a finisher but he always used it for 2 counts and then Ankle Lock for the finish.

I’m not a fan of the Angle Slam, and this is yet another reason why I dislike it. It was never protected. People always kicked out of it. Even the damn Super Angle Slam was never enough to put people away.

i watched it like 10 years ago and thought it was disappointing
"big match" angle always felt like he was just trying to do the shawn wm21 match again every single time, it annoyed me watching it. maybe now i'd like it more though

it was also short for an IWGP match. i think tanahashi even said that himself.

Wait until you watch every Kurt Angle match from the early 2000's. People always talk about Angle as one of the GOATs but I swear this guy is one of the reasons for the modern style of kicking out of everything. Every big match of his had insane finisher spam/finisher stealing.
