It probably was good, but in a "you had to be there" way. You couldn't pay me to watch indie wrestling on TV (or the glorified super shindie that is AEW), but it's fun to attend them in person if the crowd is full and excited. I imagine the live entertainment aspect of the territory days was where most of the appeal was.
