i cringe when people say they prefer okada in wwe. they have done nothing to convince me that they would book okada as a top guy. nakamura cant even win the secondary belt that rollins has.

The main difference is that Shinsuke left a far better time. He wasn't gonna be in the main title scene anymore, but he still had all his mystique and momentum. Okada had already burned through all his heat and on a couple of throwaway matches in NJPW and probably the best we'll ever see him do in AEW. He's basically cornered himself into either NXT or cold, recycled AEW feuds.
