I don’t really question or criticize Tony in terms of creating momentum but he is god awful at actually taking that & doing something with it instead of just cooling these guys off in boring programs with a Jericho, tag matches, or just simply disappearing act them off tv

Yup. Orange Cassidy looked like a star after the All Out match and they've went on to do nothing with him. Takeshita got put over by Kenny Omega and they've done nothing with him. They hired Bryan Danielson for him to mostly just wrestle nobodys. Mox just does whatever he wants now and his star has faded significantly.

I swear, the rare times he gets a singles match the first one if an amazing underdog performance where he generates a lot of sympathy shows a lot of fire before he loses. And then the next week they wrestle again in some gimmick match where Darby gets to do a bunch of stupid shit and it's not nearly as good.

Totally agree, I like the show but one of the objective faults is that nobody can really end up someone’s favorite because you don’t know how long they’ll be around or if they are around if they’ll be in a story.
