I'm just going to let you know that Rock would "leak" profits in to reporters to get the jump and make people think his films did better than they did. Rock is one of Dave's sources. He's using Dave to try and nice guy his way out of it.

Rock's show how easily gotten to he is in the past. People keep thinking this is like 2002 Rock. And not 2024 corny old Dwayne thinking he can come back and repair his career after losing so much the past two years.

How? He wasn't in the Rumble that year and fought his way to earning the Mania match against Batista and Orton. He was booked like shit right after with the Kane feud and then he got injured. 2015 was way worse as they had him return from injury to enter the Rumble and had him lose like a geek to prop up Roman. Booking Cody to win the Rumble and then have him give it up to Rock is far worse than anything they did to Bryan.

It wasn't their intention but Bryan's rise to WM was hard fought and earned and he never gave up. Cody fought his ass off and then just... steps aside.

Pretty much. He's not the main Hollywood guy. But apparently, he has no ego despite the fact he has a clause in his contract and completely took over Black Adam to try and work himself to the top of an already failing DCEU.

Playing a villain in a movie or a tv show or a wrestling show is all the same. A role, and in his own words a fun role. He's turned heel plenty of times before when booed and mogged the babyfaces every single time.

When he turns heel and mogs both Roman and Cody and plays the Andy Kaufman/Corporate Rock/Hollywood Rock hybrid role, he'll start getting cheered again just like before.

This is a guy that literally made a show about his own political ambitions in the future. He has a contract that states he can't lose and his company acts as EP just so he can control the script further. He hasn't played a "bad guy" in movies for a decade.
