That still favors The Rock and his catchphrase spam though. But of course Rock's on the board and he has the power and the ego, and there's no way he'll go along with a script showing himself in a losing scenario in a promo battle.
Now if they just let them do their own thing then idk. Dwayne doesn't have any of the old Rock left in him now. He didn't seem to have much of it left even back during Rock/Cena. Both him and Cena were supposed to be two of the few guys that got to work without a script, and he was struggling against Cena even back then. What was that like twelve or thirteen years ago? He can still spam catchphrases though and that's better than anything Cody has. Cody cut his teeth in an era where they started scripting everything with the consequence that no one from that era forward ever had a real chance to grow actual mic skill. Cody's got the cookie-cutter promo style everyone in WWE has had for a long time now. The same calm, methodical promo everyone cuts.
