Here’s the thing. Punk gets good hype, but for every 1000 times he gets hyped, he delivers once.
He’s not a great wrestler. not a great crowd worker. His promos are, objectively speaking, cringe - just read his livejournals when he was in his late 20s and it all makes sense. His tattoos are retarded. He’s skinnyfat. He doesn’t look like a star. He’s the type of edge lord to respond with “God doesn’t exist…” if you say God bless you after he sneezes.
Look at his UFC career. He spent so much time and money training for it, Dana White gave him the opportunity of a lifetime twice, and he humiliated himself, Dana White, and the entire UFC viewing audience. Dana White and Joe Rogan both have gone on record often talking about how embarassing Punk’s performance was. It was that bad.
Then he goes on a reality TV show and loses some log push strength challenge to a literal who Joe Sixpack who looks like some random guy from the mall. What the fuck are you doing Punk?
