Hangman doesn't need to dress like a cowboy and constantly reference cowboy movies in order for the retarded audience to get it. Nor does Samoa Joe need to cheat constantly in order to win while being portrayed as a 'dominant champion' in order for the NPCs to understand he is le bad guy.
Nor does anyone's whole gimmick have to be to to constantly talk about le finishing le story in order for the retarded audience to get it. Again, AEW is subtle in how it presents its wrestlers like real people, not like anime capeshit characters.
