He's only doing rasslin because he's not doing movies at the moment.

The moment he starts doing movies again he'll be out of the WWE faster than he arrived and everything they've planned will be shelved again.

Their one chance of doing Rock/Roman is now gone and they've damaged both of them especially Roman, they've just turned the guy they've been pushing to the universe into Rock's little buddy.
