I watched up until Sting beat hogan at Starcade, then I kinda lost touch with the show after that because Hogan couldn't stand not having the belt.

I did once. I was a young brokefag so I didn't have tickets to get in but a bunch of people waited before the shows to meet the wrestlers. Everyone ignored us except Bret Hart, who signed everything handed to him and took pictures with everyone.

WCW was on free tv in my country so that was what I watched as a kid. Then years later we got cable so I started watching WWE. WCW was already dead at that point

Only watched WCW and refused to watch WWF. Stuck with it even as the house burned to the ground in 99 and 2000. After the final Nitro I quit wrestling and then didn't come back until I started watching WWE in 2007 after the Benoit stuff piqued my interest in wrestling again. Surprised I stuck around because 2007-era WWE was fucking horrendous in hindsight, but I also got into ROH, some TNA, and other independents shortly after WWE brought me back in the fold.

Bret in '97 caused me to check out WCW but when I saw how Bret and Stink screwed Hogan out of the title, i was so disgusted I switched back to the WWF.
i felt sorry for Bret after Survivor Series but then after Starrcade i felt Bret deserved it

the Starrcade screwjob was 100 times worse because Hogan won the match already and beat Stink clean. Bret wasn't even close to beating Shawn, the most Bret could've hoped for was a cheap DQ defense

WCW was always better up until they lost Hogan in mid 2000 due to Russo's stupidity
after that I knew WCW was gonna die
WWF was lucky they didn't die when they lost Hogan in 1993 (and they almost did)

WCW was the first wrestling show I watched, started back in spring of 98. I pretty much stuck with them through the summer and fall but by early 99 I was a full-fledged e-god and never looked back. The concurrent rock/foley and Austin/McMahon feuds were enough to sway me.

WWF started to suck in 1999, 2000 and 2001 when they brought in all the dimeless jobbers from WCW
when WWF bought WCW they took in literally all of WCW's worst wrestlers and none of their good ones
WWE hasn't really had a good roster since the 90s thanks to WCW
the last "new" wrestler that impressed me was Kurt Angle.
