Tony understands money is just material.
He is making sacrifices of his own to prop up a viable competitor to the wrestling industry.
It's corporate WWE
And then everything else.
I've seen and learned more about wrestling and it's history watching AEW, then lead me to watch other indy promotions.
I grew up loving WCW, AEW gives me that warm nostalgic feeling.
I stopped watching wrestling for nearly 15 years until AEW shook up the scene. It is the prime reason there is a wrestling boom happening right now. Without it, it would be the same safe slop WWE was shitting out since the 2010's.
That's why there is so much paid opposition against AEW in the media. WWE knows it is a credible threat and is using it's size and influence to bully smaller promotions and try to keep them put down in order to keep them from moving up to the next level. After AEW created Collison, the shills went into over drive. Even now, they try to distract from the scandals WWE is entangled in.
AEW saved wrestling whether you want to admit it or hate to admit it.
