I have never watched the weekly shows, only caught highlights. I got into wrestling for the first time in like 20 years last year because of the Bloodline story, been following since WM38.
WWE actually got so good with the Bloodline and in general for a while I was watching most PLEs from mid 2022 to WM39. I did end up watching Backlash, but I skipped a lot of shit after WM39. I watched the RR this year but it did feel like a big downgrade from last year's.
desu it felt like the Bloodline peaked with Sami Zayn, then when they cooled him off, we're left with a good Cody run, but then they didn't do anything with that, and we've had basically a year of limbo where nothing of significance has happened. The Rock showing up is revitalising it and bringing it to new heights but it feels like
2023 was kinda nothing compared to 2022. 2022 I feel was actually a great year but 2023 was just okay with very boring or good bits here and there. Still probably better than most modern WWE years but not that special. If you actually watch the shit it's clear there's like 2-3 important segments a week and not much else. I think the issue is the midcard ranges from boring to atrocious mostly, and the title pictures feel very chaotic or stagnant, even if the champions tend to be good.
