AEW is too poor to afford to do house shows - they have to do marathon 4+ hour tapings. AEW doesn't have enough international media/TV deals to sustain declining US viewership, the AEW video game was universally panned as a failure, and by every other metric AEW has a horrible ROI for most of their investments
