It blew up a ton in the 2000s though, and was standard by the 2010s. Race mixing was promoted in the media between black men/white women a TON as well. There was a movie called 'Save The Last Dance' in the early 2000s which had a white girl who did ballet, but she met some black guy & he taught her hiphop dance. She of course became a coal burner in the film.
