>>13389892The angle is "two cocky technical focused wrestlers want to swing dicks and prove they're the best at this style".
However I 100% agree the angle or story has not been told well.
Not enough trying to WIN first and foremost to feel like they want to out compete.
Not enough cockiness, baiting and emoting/swagger to come off as about humiliating the opponent.
Back in the day you'd have them on TV every week trying to school random wrestlers while making a big point of sending a message to the other guy. You'd probably have them on commentary at ringside to react, to interact with whoever's wrestling
You'd have run in shit or backstage ambush with one putting the other in a hold or making a show of technical skills after getting the jump to KO them
Ambush someone's outmatched bitch friend, or partner, put them in submissions or whatever.
More promo wok
If this was WWE when WWE was good and not snarkbait-lite with long matches to fill TV, then ZSJ would have put Nikki Bella or Wheeler Yuta in one of his submission chain bullshits while Bryan couldn't intervene and commentary sold it as scum move, they'd have been beating jobbers or lower carders with showoff pins and subs while the other guy sat at ringside mouthing off and confronting them
Build fucking heat and sell the story beyond "you're going to see HOLDS!"
