House shows have been called live events officially for decades. Then when they did Beast in the East (a house show they decided to stream) they called it a premium live event, i.e. a house show you could watch on the network. Now that the PPV concept is dead and what are PPVs are now no different from what the beast from the east was, they kept the same name.
