>>13409212anna is 10/10 and the most objectively good looking woman in aew. her ringwork is slow and clunky. she doesn't seem like much of a natural athlete and chooses to wrestle like she is one. and she sounds unconvincing when she promos or acts (part of it is that her voice is awful). wrestling has a lot of bad acting, but every time she opens her mouth it seems fake.
she has some physical charisma and presence, but that mainly comes from her being a hot chick that looks sexy in her well-made ring outfits.
her being in a lead role as either the women's or tbs champ would seem very out of place. i suppose we can't be sure, since they've never featured her in any significant storyline, but the here-and-there moments she gets to do something in the ring or as a character fall completely flat.
there's countless other aew girls who are better in the ring. countless other girls that are better at promos. they're not as gorgeous as anna jay, but they're perfectly fuckable. and these fuckable-enough girls being better at the thing i'm watching them on tv for closes the fuckability gap.
she could be a big star if she could improve in one area. but it's been years now and she has not improved or adjusted her ring style. i feel like she would to improve, but is also not upset about the spot she has. i wonder if she is getting any guidance or advice. someone needs to take her aside and help her, because she honestly doesn't come off as very bright and hasn't figured it out on her own.
