Mixed bag. Whoever came up with th nWo storyline and pushed for more realistic wrestler gimmicks be it him or one of his writers changed the face of wrestling forever. As a businessman, if I'm not mistaken WCW was hemorrhaging money and that was the reason they pulled the plug on it.

His insane overspending only worked when the NWO caught fire and they were doing record business. The second business went down, the whole thing went sideways and he spent the rest of 1999 overspending on concerts and celebrities like a fucking retard until Turner sent him home.

This is bullshit. If not for Turner his lavish spending wouldn't have been accepted. Turner was the one that wanted wrestling on his channels. The people from AOL on the other hand wanted nothing to do with it hence why it was sold to WWF at a bargain.

Correct but if it's profitable or only at a marginal loss you can convince enough of the bosses that it's worth keeping around. When it presents a massive loss the ones that see it as low iq trailer trash entertainment have the upper hand.
