Other small men had either the charisma to pull it off, like Shawn Michaels or did moves that looked like they could fuck anybody up like Danielson. Even then, they were still dimeless bums compared to the actual big names.
Maybe if his gimmick wasn’t a cackling 60s bohemian, he might stand a chance but legitimacy wise, this is like pushing a Goldust type gimmick to the main event and wondering why nobody outside of internet smarks gives a shit.
