They sent this guy back to NXT to rehab his character, he had a great run there, then they sent him back to Raw and he's disappeared.

I dont keep up with NXT much except when it's Baron Corbin time. What was his character in NXT? From the few vignettes I've seen it seemed like some schizo larp thing (based)

Shawn is taking his job description literally. He tries his best at presenting an entertaining, watchable show and succeeds for the most part.

Trips is not. His dog shit booking is actually by design. He's working closely with the highest echelons of society toward a single-owner system. WWE will help tank Netflix stock, which will pave the way for a buyout by Amazon. How good or bad NXT is doesn't really factor into the equation, hence the relative freedom Shawn is permitted over there.
