>>13452157Nah, it really depended on the time and place. The WWE product during the early Vince years absolutely was.
Back in the territory days different territories had different markets and actively catered to them. I came up in the PNW territory and wrestling was a family affair. It was something that whole families went to like a circus or fair.
Listening to stories from Terry Funk about the Amarillo territory and it was basically for drunk rowdies from the oil fields and ranches looking for something violent to watch.
Vince wanted to turn everyone into a carton character that appealed to kids because that sold toys. The attitude era was essentially the WWF "growing up" to appeal to that audience they cultivated in the 80s. It was still larger than life wacky shit, but was meant to have more suggestive tones and themes rather than the saccharine simplicity of the golden era. WWE forced the WWE into the PG era because toys made money and as a publicly traded company the WWE was legally obligated to make as much profit for the shareholders as possible. As much of an improvement as the TKO takeover has been compared to what the WWE was in the last few years of MacMahonism, I really don't have a lot of confidence or hope in the long term. The Jews will use the WWE to pump out the most dysgenic anti-humanist propaganda possible. It is just in their nature to hate life and revel in corruption.
