And that's the real issue. Damn near all of the current-roster midcarders and top guys in WWE just aren't that great. Cody isn't especially great, but he's still one of the best all-around options that they have available
Even the fucking current champion is nothing special; Rock is mogging the fuck out of both Cody and Roman, but Roman looks worse in comparison because he's the champ that's on Rock's side, rather than Rock being on his side
At least Cody getting mogged as the challenger doesn't look so out of place because Rock has been outclassing guys like Cody during promos for decades, so that's nothing new. But Roman just standing there next to Rock, looking like Rock's inferior cancer-struck make-a-wish relative while holding the company's top title, just looks extra cringe
