thats mainly on kenny. the reason he was doing a lot of tag matches in aew was because of his body.
assuming when he comes back hes healthy enough for a big singles push, id say all he really needs is to actually dress the part. stop wearing the same 2 3 year old tights that he keeeps wearing. go back to the black tights. tony these past few months isnt scared of having top guys interact with each other anymore so we would get proper feuds this time around.

Nah that’s bullshit they let him cut promos in Japanese starting in 2016 when he beat Goto in the G1 Finals. Came out of nowhere and got a giant pop from the crowd

Kenny was great.

When they decided to push him, he knew he was going to win the G1 and to his credit, he went all out. He gave everything of his body in that 2016 G1. He took insane bumps, nearly killed himself multiple times. He laid it all on the line, some real Misawa type shit.
That's what made me a Kenny Omega fan. A lot of guys when they're selected for the big push, you can tell they're just coasting. But Kenny took it as an opportunity to break into Japanese heavyweight wrestling at the main event level. He rolled the dice on his career and he ended up winning.

Sure, he can be a bit of a fag and a bit of an autistic retard with his selling at times, but I will always be a fan because of the 2016 G1.

Kenny was the only over gaijin in Japan in recent memory. The japs didn't give a fuck about Devitt, Styles, Jay, Cody or whoever from BC, only Kenny. Sure, the japs might cheer for them out of respect, but if you watched NJPW in the past 10 years, the only one who got any actual reaction from the crowd, even more than Tana and Okada, was Kenny.

All of those 2010s NJPW big players like Naito, Tanahashi, Ishii, Shibata, Ibushi are just as washed as Kenny is for the same reason. That sawdust style of wrestling was never going to be sustainable but it was so goddamn good.
