Because had you guys been doing things right from Day 1 and actually held Tony Khan accountable instead of being his yes men, you guys would have had 1M+ every week and you would have been challenging or even surpassing Raw every week. I was watching AEW when they did the first heel promo and I remember actually being invested in the bucks for a while, but then like 30 seconds into the promo I realized they were going tongue-in-cheek and they weren't taking this massively seriously.
The problem is that they don't ever take themselves seriously, they could've done a serious heel turn taking themselves ultra serious, the complete opposite of what people like in the Young Bucks, and it would've drawn ACTUAL HEAT instead of ironic "haha we're playing along!" heat.
Even WWE has this dumb thing where they generate weird heat that no one actually takes seriously.
