Yes holy shit, even a glorified midcarded like Hunter would instantly get over in the current era because there are no stars today. Nobody can cut a promo, everybody looks anemic. Gaytch had the main eventer look and the charisma and he was a decent promo, nothing special for his time but he would bury 90% of the roster right now if he were on the mic. Even someone like Bulldog or Owen Hart would get over on sheer intensity alone and would be rocket strapped to the main event immediately. The standards have been lowered so much that the midcarders of the past are the main eventers of today.
