Face it, Cody will suck off whatever side he thinks is more advantageous at the time. The Trump hat tweet was from early 2015 before he went off the rails and still had support as an alternative to the traditional politician. He wasn't seen as a divisive symbol of hate yet. Jpegmafia made a song "I might vote for Donald Trump" around the same time because it was acceptable to say that and not piss anyone off. I doubt Cody holds any genuine political beliefs. He's probably a chill guy that's indifferent towards anyone, but will only endorse things publicly to benefit his image. Pretty much a politician.
