Someone who has his life in order (has a job, a family, responsibilities and hobbies) but claims to be "depressed" is simply someone who's bored due to monotony or because his job conditions worsened either due to monotony or degrading workplace conditions, the solution being a change of job or a change of pace that said person is just being lazy to do.
Someone who doesn't work and claims to be "depressed" is just bored due to lacking purpose or simply finding all their movies, videogames, anime or wrestling boring due to consuming it 24/7. But this person is too lazy to find a job, start their own business or finding purpose somehow (like joining the army, becoming a missionary, anything) so they use this imaginary disease to justify not doing anything.
