so angle would start out with grapple/catch style, and when benoit starts reversing and outgrappling, angle desperately switches to a more strike based offence, to which benoit responds with chops
angle increasingly gets frustrated as his tactics switches keep getting matched by benoit, so he breaks the unspoken rules for what was supposed to be a contest to find the better man and tries to cheat. As soon as he shows benoit that the "agreement" is off and the rules are out the window, benoit is happy to cheat right back and grab the tights to win. Perfectly good story of the arrogant angle realizing he wasn't the superior man and running out of options as his opponent kept adapting
