So I’m watching some old Ric Fair matches…how the hell do these oldheads like Cornette justify how cartoonish he was in the ring while slamming guys like Kenny Omega? The guy did everything he could to make it look as fake as possible. His selling was the most slapstick thing.

80s were different, flair defended that nwa title on the georgia show, mid atlantic show, florida show, texas show, memphis show, hawaii show, portland show, st louis show every week, then went to japan and came back for the national show on tbs. i hate flair, he did the same match 8 times a week on 8 different shows, but in the 80s, nobody knew it was the same match.

cornettes gripes with omega have nothing to do with his in ring work in reality, as you've pointed out flair and alot of guys in the 80's did plenty of goofy shit, his problems with omega and the bucks are on a personal level, probably cause they argued with him over booking decisions during his time in Roh
