She's supposed to expect appreciation as a given, "centre of the universe" thing, so it would defeat the point. I was just comparing it to say Dominik Mysterio and how everyone loves playing along with the panto villain routine, feels a little sad when they do get a really positive reaction unexpectedly and it's ignored.
