>>13554520Hogan was legit amazing during that time. Go watch the match where he faced Inoki for the IWGP(v1.0) he is so fast, so fluid, and so skilled that it is really hard not to be impressed. The guy knew exactly when to sell, exactly when to work the crowd, when to put on the pressure, and when to pump the breaks. Sticking him in the ring with a GOAT like Inoki and you end up with a legitimate all time great match.
Shame the WWE touring schedule pretty much killed Hogan as a worker. Having a match every two to three days for 3+ years with the vast majority of them being off camera led to injuries piling up on Hogan and for him to realize that he didn't really need to go all out in every match since it wasn't his wrestling people came to see, but the man himself. Once Hogan realized all he need was five moves of doom, cupping his ear, and Hulking up to pop the audience he was finished as a worker.
