I feel like Rock-Hogan is the most potent example of how there are more important things to a match than the moves being done in the ring. The ring work wasn’t really anything too special but the intangibles were off the fucking charts. Incredible adjustments and crowd control. Storytelling I suppose.

The sport was at peak popularity, you had the top star of WWF vs the top star of WCW, who was an old legend in WWF but came back. The young bronze bull vs the thunder God. It's like an epic Greek mythology.
