>>13566044You can't say something like 'AEW peaked' when it's like a 5 years old company. With a few right moves AEW can become even hotter than it was in just a few months. That's what the wrestling/sports business generally is - it comes in waves. Much of AEW's problems that killed their growth has more to do with the outside shit stunting them than anything. And now that that has been resolved, more or less, they can go back to what they were, but obviously it will take time for the effects to start being noticeable.
Furthermore, AEW hasn't peaked at all because AEW's current deal is greatly undervaluing them. They're the second most popular TNT/TBS program after NBA. Even if they just stay at 800k for the rest of the year, their new deal will still be huge compared to what they have now and that will be huge commercial growth for them
And as a final note, tickets don't make money in wrestling anymore and haven't made so in a long time. It's all TV revenue. and Saudi-type deals WWE is selling venues, but that's not even accounting for 10% of their actual revenue. That doesn't mean AEW shouldn't strive to sell more tickets because it just looks better when the arena is full and gives the program more prestige in itself, but as far as simple upfront money goes - it's useless.
