How? By all the western talent going to a western promotion? It's not like they took Tanahashi at his peak. Okada is only just leaving now and he's not nearly the name he was close to 10 years ago. I don't think occasionally featuring Iishi or Suzuki is life or death for NJPW. If anything WWE signing Nakamura, AJ, Gallows and Anderson around when they did was a much bigger blow. The pandemic hurt NJPW. The current economy in Japan is hurting NJPW. AEW giving Japanese talent an outlet in the US didn't hurt NJPW

Yeh its unfortunate, now Western promotions are far more international with their hirings and Japanese promotions just don't have the wealth to compete. I guess the Canadian and then Mexican promotions had to go through a similar ordeal.

Yeah, they outright raided them and of course the same people that were all over NXT UK for signing UK talent had little to say about it.

It was pretty dirty in particular since AEW could have mostly had people like Jay, Will and Okada anytime they wanted them anyway due to their partnership. Is it really that important to have Okada around full-time so he can battle Shane Taylor and Bryan Keith on Collision?

Okada has spent the last decade plus in NJPW. His contract is up and he's deciding to leave. If he had signed with WWE like so many were claiming would it still be AEW's fault? Same case with Ospreay

Thank you for not having your head up your ass and actually understanding what I was getting at. I wasn't blaming WWE for signing those guys just like I wouldn't blame AEW for signing who they have. AJ and Nakamura and even Gallows and Anderson all at once were a much bigger blow at the time than two guys who have fully run their course in NJPW and are deciding to move on. That's all I was getting at there
