You can clearly tell they realize they fucked up giving Priest in the MiTB. They don't want him to the either the WHC or the Undisputed Champ.

They should have just had LA Knight win it, use it to challenge Roman at the Saudi show, then lose.

Leave that to Cody because Priest hasn't shown himself to be at Roman's level. That' fine.

Not him cashing him on Seth the week after the Jinder match was stupid because Priest was gonna be a transitional champ anyway.

Doesn't get better that Seth is somehow trying to be involved in Cody vs the Bloodline like he's not even defending at mania.

I don't think it was a bad choice to put it on Priest, just the way they've booked him since winning it hasn't been great. Dom perhaps would've been a better choice in hindsight though.

With all of these long ass reigns they're doing ATM they're kinda booking themselves into a corner with this shit. They kinda need to normalize that MITB just means a title shot and not automatically a title reign as it has done in the past, so maybe that's what they're going for.

They might as well lean into it and make Priest's gimmick that he tries to cash in every week and every event but something goes wrong. He slips on a banana peel, someone in the crowd steals the briefcase and he has to chase after him, he brings in the wrong briefcase, the ref gets knocked out, etc.

Here's how you salvage it. I dunno if MITB still operates under being valid until Mania, but it could be like this.
>Seth has a match before mania two weeks or so before
>Seth comes out looking rough, Priest decides it's his prime chance to not only cash in, but be in a guaranteed slot for mania
>Somehow Priest loses, doubly so if Truth is the reason either for genuine revenge or just comedy (personally I'd have it be genuine so that way they can make it turn into a potential feud and also flesh out truth's character a little)
>this loss, along with rhea's seemingly growing control of judgement day, the other boys losing a bit of faith in priest as a leader, starts putting him over the edge
>starts to become increasingly triple h levels of insecure until he lashes out and infighting occurs
>leads to a loser leaves judgement day match
Then they can go from there, either dissolving it or turning it into a new stable like "Rhea's Rapture" or whatever. Seems like a good situation if you ask me.

You have two nights; Night 1 for the women and Night 2 for the men. More people involved on the card,a nice payday,and feels like a bigger spectacle than just an another PLE for the calendar.

I can't remember a mitb winner ever looking this retarded. All those times Seth has gotten KWAB'd and Damian didn't come out. Seth being literally injured and Damian still not cashing in. I was never a fan that they moved MITB from Wrestlemania to making an entire PPV for it. I liked the feel that every WM you were kind of seeing the potential setup for the next big title run/challenge. Felt like a cool WM tradition.

Honestly Edge set the bar too high looking back, it would've made more sense to have a few good boy cash ins and then have a heel do it the way he did against Cena. Rollins was the only one that got a cash in that was better, every other one hasn't been as good.

I don't know know what it is,but WWE feels like once they get a gimmick match that's hot,they immediately think that it'd be cool to have it as a standalone event and try to work in a match around that concept. Sometimes it works, sometimes you're left scratching your head wondering if it was ever needed at all.

Like for He'll in a Cell it's a feud ender for two guys that hate each other enough to settle it there and it's sheer brutality,but it loses it's mystique(I guess) seeing it every year.

It couldve worked with Priest the problem is that Hunter is gay for Seth so instead of having him drop the title their making him hold it because Hunter loves his long reigns. Couldve eaisly made Priest a transitional champion just give him 1 or 2 defenses before you drop it to Drew

It's hard enough to make it happen once organically but then they also have to do it twice because of the girls matches.
Royal rumble, MITB, EC, Survivor series etc are such slogs to watch now that you have two of these gimmick matches in one night. WWE really needs to shake up how they schedule their shows

They should just have Finn get pinned in a tag match so they've lost the tag belts then have Priest immediately cash in the briefcase to win them back. Then use it as a story point for Judgement Day tension about whether or not Priest wasted the briefcase in that moment.

it's not the case, it's who they gave it to. priest is a failed hhh project who never met his potential up there with balor, karrion, dexter and countless others. they'd be stupid to reward mediocrity with any kind of championship, they just dont want to bury their investment without a payoff, either.

priest loses that case to put someone over, like la knight and likely loses his job a month later.

after cody beats roman, priest is gonna cash in and at the last minute, the rock and roman are gonna help him fend off priest and the rest of the judgement day the same way the rock and hogan fought off nwo
rock will then "acknowledge" cody, allowing him to turn face and roman wont "acknowledge" him or something and leave the ring all sad so everyone can boo at him but everyone will cheer him cause wrestling fans dont react correctly to things.
