This should be the match.
Sami gets nothing out of winning the IC belt and Gunther getting beat in a multi-man ladder match lessens the impact of him losing greatly.

I'm not against it, a straight gable gu threat has could be match of the night and get gable over in a big way ... but a ladder match for the belt could also he MOTN and protects Walter for a main title push. I guess are you more concerned with protecting Walter or elevating gable?

I just think Gunther, this ultra-dominant heel that's able to win all his matches clean, losing in any way other than getting pinned or tapping out doesn't feel right. It wouldn't be a good pay off. Unless of course they do the ladder match and book it so Gunther wins.

A real Walter/Gunther streak needs some underdog to finally overcome the big bad guy and Gable would be perfect for that. I however think him already having lost their match before takes the wind out of the sails.
I also hate rematches on a Mania card and we already have this god forsaken neverending Cody/Roman storyline shitting up the main event, please stop.

Yeah he needs to lose clean to a guy that could be elevated by the win. It doesn't help Sami, Damian, Finn, Sheamus, etc. Tapping clean to Draganuv made him a bona-fide star to the NXT audience.
