Sting's AEW run is what his WWE run SHOULD have been, and it's the one thing Tony somehow didn't fuck up beyond all recognition.

At the time wrestling was dying and it didn't really seem WWE would have any alternative whatsoever. Then the Japanese wrestling scene exploded and then AEW happened and he finally had an opportunity to retire at peace. It was a mistake going to the E and one I wish he never made, but kind of understandable on his part.
