Too old for the big leagues. At least in AEW, they can hide his flaws by his weaker schedule & limited dates. In WWE, he used to throw himself from 20 foot ladders, dive on burning tables, and spear niggaz through glass walls. Dude peaked 20 years ago, cannot expect old men to be the same in their prime. Douchey sleazy scumbag Edge of the mid to late 2000's is honestly one of the greatest characters of all time in wrestling but you can only pull that off if you're young and handsome with a particular look like Edge had. He couldn't do that when he was a weird looking 50 year old and couldn't do any of the insane spots he was known for so basically nothing you liked about Edge in the past could carry over to his comeback run.

He's the most off brand Hire for AEW. The whole company is built on "WWE bad" so hiring guys like Cesaro and Rusev made sense as they were guys people felt were underutilized in the fed. But edge? Edge had some of the lost artificial booking in the history of WWE, no one looks at edges career and says "they were holding him back". They hired a washed 50 year old that was the epitome of Vince booking.

He didn't comeback to have a huge giant run. He's just doing things that he thinks are fun to finish his career and AEW gets to say "Hey, Adam Copeland is here!"

Looks like he's just having fun and will go out on his own terms like Sting. Guys know AEW will let them go out on their own terms because TK is a money mark.

There has been zero reports of him being injured outside of kayfabe being taken out by the patriarchy. Since the blow off match between him and Christian will happen in Toronto when aew does their Canadian tour this month.
