Okay. Vince has presumption of innocence. This is a founding principle of America. Vince, despite these accusations, is, as of right this moment, innocent. If he is proven guilty in a court of law, then and only then is he guilty. Right now, Vince has not even been charged with a crime, let alone convicted.

I know this is really hard for the console warriors here to understand, but it's the truth. I would love for this to be a full investigation that uncovers real crimes like Vince being responsible for framing Chris Benoit, for example. Or find a hidden vault with video proof of Vince or Pat banging HBK and other stars as a quid pro quo to get a better spot. But come on, that isn't realistic and is unlikely to ever happen.

So yes, let's be real: the same people that have always hated Vince still do, and the same people that revered Vince still do. But those of us waiting for proof are looked at like nutters by both sides.

We don't know the context. We don't even know if Vince actually sent them or why. At face value it certainly looks that way, but that's the point of an investigation. The accuser doesn't get to set the narrative.

I can tell you've never been falsely accused of anything. I have and it's frustrating when it seems like you're expected to prove your innocence, which is the reverse of how it should be.

But that IS the reason, the second article they put out after the bombshell first one directly links the raid to the FBI looking to verify her information. This was all going on long before that first article dropped, if you're still kidding yourself that they just dropped the texts and all that info without a moment's thought, I don't know what to tell you.

Objectively it is highly unlikely that she would submit fake texts as evidence as it would be easy to disprove and destroy her case. That is not enough proof in the court of law of course, but again the general public aren't the court of law.

I suppose it's possible that they're "fake" in the sense that Janel wrote them herself (which is easy to do if you have access to someone else's phone), but what I find much more likely is that since the context of those texts is missing, the implication is to take them at face value. We don't really understand their relationship either or what sort of sexual roleplay they were practicing.

The fact that these texts were "leaked" because of the civil case, as a means to slander Vince (and thus influence a jury), makes it even more clear to me that we won't ever learn the truth because this case can't go to trial, because good luck finding impartial jurors after that. Just look at this thread! No one here can be impartial.

The SMS texts are included in full in those.court.documents as submitted evidence. Everyone knows how easy the digital forensics is on mobile phone records these days.
