The spot was retarded, mainly because the Buck he was supposedly aiming for was barely on the glass (presumably the glass would have shattered the second he put any weight on it).

If they could have somehow rigged this spot to make it more believable that Darby was looking to hurt his opponent instead of himself, then it would have been based.

I can do this for characters like the Undertaker, but in the ring action should feel real and not have stupid stuff inserted in it. Like a suplex irl wont really work, but I can let that go in wrestling, but some of shit needs to look real, even if 100% safe. They could have made sugar glass thick enough that it would shattered when jumped through but strong enough to support a wrestler for a minute

Waiver can mitigate responsibility in civil court but not negate it. If I own a softball field and make the players sign wavers saying "Play at you're own expense, we are not responsible for injuries on the field" and someone breaks a leg on some rebar poking up through the field the waiver isn't going to do shit. Just because there is a waiver does not absolve you of responsibility especially when it comes to unreasonable recklessness. If someone got glass in the eye, hep b from Darby, or even a small cut they can sue the fuck out of AEW with no ticket warning meaning shit in civil court.
