>>13653680Generational graphical upgrades died around 2013-2014 era. Between SNES/Genesis to PS1/Saturn/N64, there was a huge leap, especially the shift from flat 2D to polygonal 3D. Between PS1/N64/Saturn to Dreamcast, there was another giant leap. The OG Soulcalibur in '99 for DC was like a whole NEW world of visuals for that time & set the bar for what's to come in the 2000s. Xbox dropped in late '01, it was a BEAST with graphics, even over contemporary PS2/Gamecube graphics. Fable, DOA Ultimate, Halo, and Jade Empire looked almost a generation ahead of what Sony or Nintendo had at the time. Then the PS3/360 graphics were even better by the mid-late 2000s (MGS4, Halo 3, Killzone 2-3, Dead Space, Crysis 2-3, GTA 4-5). Finally PS4/Xbone had even more slick looking, more detailed shit like Horizon and Titanfall.
