They train their wrestlers to have good fundamentals before they get to do complicated stuff which is a nice change of pace from modern US TV. But 2024 NJPW isn't super exciting. NJPW in previous decades was awesome, even the batshit 2000s era when they had MMA guys coming in was interesting. Right now they're just weathering a Japanese economic recession while talent leaves to get comfy US TV deals. I don't find most of their next generation of stars interesting yet. Hopefully they'll find their footing because they all have potential.
