>>13676215Nah. The non-WWE talent around in 2002 were either too dimeless or close to WCW to make any type of fresh splash in wrestling. It needed a whole new generation of wrestlers not connected in any political way to the Hogan, Nash, Hall, Bischoff, Jeff Jarrett, Bagwell, Scott Norton, Disco, Hennig, Steiner, Tenay crew. That's another reason people didn't believe in TNA. It was too close to WCW 2000, which had just been BTFO by the WWE.
Ironically, it TNA started *before* WCW went under, it would've had more respect. Instead people just dismissed it as 'another WCW', but lamer, with fewer stars, and with a smaller budget, just as WWE was getting even more money from going public.
