Ospreay wrestles the way you’d expect Kenny Omega to wrestle if you never saw his matches and just based your impression of his style on Jim Cornette’s podcast. Ospreay has literal comic book levels of freakish athleticism but the brain of a golden retriever. Omega at his peak was a super athletic albeit less than Ospreay but was FAR more deliberate.

Austin, Angle, Foley, Flair, Nash (for what that’s worth), Jim Ross, etc etc. All these legends of wrestling have said they believe Omega is every bit as good as advertised. There’s something to be said for that. Cornette and Disco Inferno might seethe over Omega but wrestlers and legends love him for whatever that means.

Omega and these matches are obscenely overrated, that's just how it's been ever since people drank the koolaid that athleticism = good match. Really, you could've slotted in multiple other as athletic wrestlers into this match and it'd be virtually the same. Okada is a talent, though.
