There were no real hints of anything. Just one week that the nips laughed at her and she immediately seethed over it.

Nobody remembers that. Doubt the WWE's DEI Hollywood writers remember that. Why are people afraid to say the storyline makes no sense. Now that I think about it, a good majority of the stories going into WM don't make sense.

The story is Bayley is a screw up, ungrateful and thought she was the boss of Damage Ctrl over the literal Women's Champion and went back on her word to challenge Rhea Ripley to bring the last belt to the stable and instead challenged Iyo.
Bayley's "face turn" had Bayley hide a pipe to attack Iyo and the others the one week Dakota Kai wasn't there.
