Personally I got fucked up reading scans week to week when I was living overseas for long periods of time with little access to the internet, so I started buying the manga tanks. Then I discovered they sold complete sagas as giant tank collections of 15-25 volumes at a time and began buying those with Box 3 (Thrillerbark through New World). I think the English translation is on volume 107 right now so there is only one more volume in the Egghead Arc and that should wrap up that box which covers Whole Cake through Final Saga. Looking forward to it since the Box 4 was released back in 2022 and it has been a couple of years since I got to enjoy the adventures of the Strawhats.
My favorite arc is a real toss up between Arabasta and Dressrosa. I am a sucker for those giant clusterfuck storylines where everyone runs off in a different direction to do their own thing and a there are a billion different things happening all at once. The entire subplot of Usopp's lies accidentally becoming real cumulating in his run through Dressrosa where he was basically soloing vast chunks of Donflamingo's army without even realizing it gave me a sensible chuckle for a bunch of volumes.
