Cornette is smart. Controversy makes money and buzz and being a negative nancy literally will have people tuning in on you eager to hear the next thing that'll he shit on. He's right about some things and wrong about some things, he has a very rigid view of what constitutes respectable wrestling, very much a traditionalist who likes classic faces and heels. Honestly though, I think there are people in modern wrestling culture that pose a far bigger problem than someone like Russo ever could.
