The kind of people that have been taking over wrestling for the last 20 years are political zealots that put their personal politics above everything else. The actual wrestling in wrestling rates far lower in their eyes than pushing whatever ideology they prescribe to.
But to be fair that isn't just a wrestling problem. Almost every aspect of the modern world has fallen victim to the long march of these zealots leading to a massive and inevitable competency crisis.
