On his standout match with 17 that stood as his retirement from full time wrestling
>"Yeah it was a good one. Couldn't have asked to go out better. Wish I was well enough for a rematch, though. We talked through the match for a few days before hand. 17 knew he was on a short term contract and Toriyama had already decided that 18 was going to be the preferred candidate going forward, he had something to prove...for me though, I was working hurt since the Frieza match. Got myself in some great shape but at the end of the day you've gotta look at my career. Been at it for a long time, always driving up the work rate of any given Saga. I was done though. Back was in pieces. Neck sawdusted. If you watch closely my quads are all taped up. I was in great shape, but there's certain injuries you just can't come back from. I was determined to go out on a high, maybe do the occasional part timer match going forward but nothing close to the pace on display here. 17 was a great dance partner and I'm a bit annoyed that Toriyama once again picked charisma over work ethic by keeping 18 and giving 17 his papers. The fact that people are still giving it praise is amazing. I was surprised when Oolong gave it 5 stars. Always felt he had something against us non-Sayains and non-Humans. Look I'm not implying that he's racist, but I didn't get a single 5 star match until Goku was on the shelf working part time? Come on. At least I got that great send off."
