I don't think the promotion of this has been done well at all.
If Mone is such a big difference maker, they should be advertising her hard so people tune in. But they haven't. If you don't come on wrestling forums, you'd never know she was debuting here.
Wardlow/Joe and Jay/Darby are two last minute thrown together matches with no real story involved. Wardlow/Joe is a heel vs heel match and Jay vs Darby is a face/tweener vs face match, though Jay's going to act heelish I'm sure.
Okada's first AEW match just drew 450k or so, so we know not enough people really care about that.
Nobody's going to care about the other two matches which were also last minute deals. Riho did her usual deal where she gets put in the women's title picture, then disappears for months. Why AEW puts up with this is beyond me. And spoiler, The Gates of Agony lose.
